Kohtaa vs Tavata: a per-event price or a monthly licence
Tavata is a platform for live, hybrid and virtual events, sold as a licence for events from 175 EUR per month or as an event-specific service from 1,500 EUR, both excluding VAT. Kohtaa is a networking layer for in-person events, sold per event: 100 EUR for up to 100 attendees or 950 EUR with no attendee limit, VAT included. Tavata is now part of Eventilla and continues as a separate product.

When is Tavata the better fit?
Tavata is the better fit for virtual or hybrid events, or when attendees need video meetings as well as meetings at the venue. Kohtaa is for in-person events only and does not run virtual or hybrid sessions or video meetings.
It also suits an organization that wants an ongoing member network on a monthly licence, recruiting events, which Tavata lists among its services, or a buyer already using Eventilla. Kohtaa is not a ticketing or registration tool, has no Lyyti sync yet, and its published plans are per event or per year.

Which one costs less for a 100-person event?
Compare the published numbers on the same VAT basis. Kohtaa Medium is 100 EUR per event for up to 100 attendees, VAT included. Tavata publishes an event-specific service from 1,500 EUR and a licence for events from 175 EUR per month plus a starting package, all excluding VAT. What your event needs decides which is better value.
Does either one need an app download?
No. Kohtaa runs in the browser. Tavata describes itself as a web app that works on every device, with no separate app to download.
Is Tavata still a separate product after the Eventilla deal?
Tavata's own news post says that Eventilla has bought Tavata and that Tavata continues as its own, separate product, at the same tavata.events address.
Can Kohtaa run virtual meetings?
No. Kohtaa is for in-person events. Attendees agree a time and a place to meet at the venue, and there are no video meetings.
Does Kohtaa connect to our registration system?
Not with a live sync, and there is no Lyyti sync yet. An organizer can upload an attendee list exported as a CSV file, or share the Kohtaa join link in the registration confirmation.
