Yes. GDPR is built into Kohtaa, not added on afterwards. Both the application and the database run on Hetzner in Helsinki, Finland, so your data is stored only in the EU, with no external database subprocessor. In practice: cookieless analytics, data export on request, and account deletion that erases personal data.
Kohtaa is priced per event: EUR 100 for up to 100 attendees, EUR 250 for up to 250 and EUR 500 for up to 500, or an annual plan at the price of 5 events for unlimited events of that size. You create your event, order from the event page, and your organization is invoiced. Small community events of up to 30 people can apply for our Community tier.
No. Kohtaa is fully browser-based. Attendees join via a link on any device without downloading or installing anything.
The 7 Points of Contact is Kohtaa's proprietary relationship tracking framework. Research on personal networks finds that closeness between people tracks how much time and how many interactions they invest in each other. Kohtaa records seven interaction types between two attendees, from a first profile view to a mutual endorsement. Each adds one contact point. When two people reach all seven, Kohtaa marks the connection as trusted. It records interactions; it does not claim to measure trust itself.
Kohtaa and Brella both offer event matchmaking, but differ in pricing and in how relationships are tracked. Kohtaa charges a transparent flat rate of EUR 100 to EUR 500 per event, with public pricing. Kohtaa is hosted in Helsinki, Finland. Kohtaa also tracks relationships across multiple events over time using the 7 Points of Contact model, rather than single-event intent matching.
