Kohtaa vs Luma: the event page, or the networking in the room?

No, they do different jobs. Luma's pricing page describes registration and ticketing: ticket types, coupons, approvals, reminders and check-in. Kohtaa handles the networking at an in-person event: attendees find each other, request meetings and confirm the connections they made. You can use both: keep Luma for registration and share the Kohtaa join link with your registrants. There is no integration between them.

How do Kohtaa and Luma compare, row by row?

Every Luma entry quotes Luma's own website and links the page it came from, with the date it was checked. Where Luma publishes nothing we can quote, the cell links to their site instead.

When is Luma the better fit?

Luma alone is enough for a community event where the goal is the guest list, tickets and reminders, and people will find each other unaided. At a small meetup where nobody needs to find a specific person, a networking layer adds little.

Kohtaa is not a ticketing tool: it does not sell tickets, take payments or run check-in, and it has no native app. If you need those, Luma or another registration tool does that job, and Kohtaa can sit beside it for the networking.

Frequently asked questions

Can I keep using Luma for registration?

Yes. Keep Luma for registration and tickets, and share the Kohtaa join link with your registrants in a message from Luma. Attendees open it in the browser and join the event's networking.

Does Kohtaa sell tickets?

No. Kohtaa does not sell tickets or take payments from attendees. The organizer orders the event from Kohtaa and is invoiced; attendees pay nothing to Kohtaa.

Does Kohtaa connect to Luma?

There is no integration. The Kohtaa join link travels in your own message to your guests. If you want the attendee list in Kohtaa in advance, an organizer can upload it as a CSV file.

Why pay for a networking tool on top of Luma?

Because they do different jobs. Luma gets people registered and through the door. Kohtaa helps them find the right people once they are there and records the connections both people confirm, so you can see what the event produced. For an event where nobody needs that, Luma alone may be enough.
